If you are a student in Further Education (FE) in England and aged 16 or over, you can be part of the National Learner Panel (NLP). You do not need to be an expert in how policy or FE works you just need to bring forward your experiences of being a FE student.
The NLP was set up by the government in November 2006 to ensure that a wide range of learner voices are heard at national policymaking level. The work of the NLP has been strongly supported by government and other partner organisations, and the panel has been consulted on many diverse initiatives and policies. Last year the panel consisted of 20 volunteer members from across FE.
To represent the voices of Further Education learners, NLP members will be selected to reflect a varied group of learners from a range of backgrounds, learning environments, ages and regions.
Deadline for applications is Friday 23 October 2009.
